Encouragement

Dear Friend,

In Psalm 40:8, we are reminded of the joy we feel when we know our Lord is near us. “I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your Law is within my heart.” Think about this for a moment, His Law is within your heart. The Law of the Lord written in your heart, guiding your Soul to do His will. Reminding us as we busy ourselves in our lives to work and live for Him. What could be more important in these troubling times than living in the awe and wonder of the Lord? What could be more important to your health and well being than to realize, to know in your very Soul, how precious and how dear life truly is?

So, pray with me now. Pray with and for all the people in your life who are praying for you. Pray for their health and safety, just as they are praying for yours. You are not alone. The whole world is watching and waiting for this horrible pandemic to end. Know the congregation of St. Jude Catholic Church is praying for you. The priests, deacon and staff are praying for you. Every day you are in our thoughts, our hearts. Everyday we pray for your families, your friends, your care givers, and the doctors and nurses who work tirelessly to keep you healthy. Do not be afraid, have no fear, for the Lord is with you. In second Timothy, we are told again, “So keep waiting for Him”. Waiting and watching as His mercy is shown to us. Stay strong in your prayers and take strength in His Presence.

Prayer for Healing

Jesus Christ when you walked among us, you healed the sick, the lame and the broken hearted. We pray  Christ Jesus, walk among us now and heal the wounded and broken hearted. Heal all victims of abuse, heal us, our Church and in time give us the Grace to forgive the priests who did not know what it meant to be a priest.

What Can We Do Part V

We recognize we are imitators of our Lord; we have been created in His likeness. This can be broadcast into our communities as peace and goodwill. Others will recognize our actions go beyond the events and situations which are happening around us. As with all that is holy, our worldview is soaked in paradox. Our lives are not defining us as a “life style”, we are creating the exceptional in a world of the ordinary. Ours is an expression of inspiration and of what can be; unattainable only approachable, for in this moment seekers become doers and doing becomes worthwhile. If nothing else, we will be seen as one’s with a caring heart, and this will be enough.

We have questioned what it will look like, and we have answered. We ask, what will we do, and we are answering; we will find the common denominator. The only common denominator it can be is the God Standard. Now the focus is simple and direct, the priorities certain and for sure. Are we acting out of love and humility? Do our actions appeal to everyone’s best interests and their highest ideals? If both answers are yes, then what we are doing is coming from a place of truth and pointing to the truth.
