Dear Friend,
“I, even I, am the Lord, And there is no savior besides Me. It is I who have declared and saved and proclaimed, And there was no strange god among you; So you are My witnesses,” declares the Lord, “And I am God.” With this affirmation from Isaiah, let us all renew our trust in the Lord. Knowing He is our savior, our hope, and our promise in Him, for a future full of love and understanding.
It’s easy to get lost in these troubling times. To forget our way and be saddened by the grief this pandemic has brought upon us, our families and friends and our nation. Let the words of Isaiah ring loud in our hearts and in our minds…..”I am God.” In our prayers today, let’s remember all who are in need, who are worried and troubled. Let our prayers go out to them.
I know these are hard times for you, we are all battling to stay healthy and stay safe….know this, you are not alone. The Lord in His mercy is with you. The priests, deacon, staff and all the congregation at St. Jude Catholic Church is with you, in this moment and in every moment. St. Paul teaches us to pray without ceasing, this is what we are all doing. Holding tight to His promises, keeping Him in our hearts and minds and praying for all people who have been touched by this pandemic. As I am writing this, I too, am praying for you to stay strong, stay firm in your belief, and never forget the goodness of the Lord. It may be hard to see what good can come from this terrible disease, but know this for sure, the Lord is with you. Know you can lean on Him, love Him as He loves you and stay with Him under His protection and in His light. Blessings for all of us
